• Getting to Snowbird
  • By plane: Salt Lake City International Airport is a hub for Delta and Northwest Airlines. Many other airlines also provide transportation to Salt Lake City including American, Continental, Frontier, Sky West, United, and US Airways.
  • By train: Amtrak's California Zephyr stops in Salt Lake City (at 4 a.m. coming from the West Coast but the fare is most reasonable. From Chicago, the train arrives at midnight). Call (800) 872-7245 or consult the Amtrak web site
    
    
  • Ground Transportation from Salt Lake City to Snowbird
    By shuttle:
    Several shuttle services are available to take you to Snowbird. Most leave SLC International airport every 30 minutes to 1 hour. Please make your reservations in advance to minimize your wait. Special group rates are available from these companies for larger numbers of people, please inquire when you make your reservations.

    From the Airport:
    Take Interstate-80 eastbound to Interstate-215 southbound.  Take Exit 6 (6200 South) and turn right (east) at the light, toward the mountains.  You will stay on this same road until you reach Snowbird.  Pass through the intersection of 7200 South (road to Big Cottonwood Canyon – 7/11 on the corner) and continue as this road winds its way along the foothills and up Little Cottonwood Canyon (Hwy 210, the main canyon road). Snowbird is approximately a seven mile drive from the base of the canyon.
    
    From Downtown Salt Lake City:
    Take the street 500 South westbound to Interstate-15 southbound.  Take the Interstate-80 eastbound exit to Cheyenne.  Continue east on I-80.  The right lanes will take you onto the I-215 Beltway Southbound.  Take Exit 6 (6200 South) and go left at the light.  (You will stay on this same road until you reach Snowbird.) Continue straight through the intersection of 7200 South (road to Big Cottonwood Canyon – 7/11 on the corner) and continue south as this road winds its way along the foothills and up Little Cottonwood Canyon (Hwy 210, the main canyon road). Snowbird is approximately a seven mile drive from the base of the canyon.
    
    To access the Cliff Lodge: 
    Take Snowbird Entry #4 off the main canyon road and the signs will lead you into the portico of the Cliff Lodge.  Complimentary valet parking is available.  Self parking is also available.
